chips
(1) Short for pin grid array, a type of chip package in which the connecting pins are located on the bottom in concentric squares. PGA chips are particularly good for chips that have many pins, such as modern microprocessors. Compare with DIP and SIP.

(2) Short for Professional Graphics Adapter, a video standard developed by IBM that supports 640x480 resolution.
