There are many technologies for producing dynamic HTML, including CGI scripts, Server-Side Includes (SSI), cookies, Java, JavaScript, and ActiveX. Microsoft and Netscape have submitted competing Dynamic HTML proposals to W3C, which is producing the final specification.
